法德艺术家在宁乡用煤炭玩出艺术新花样

After weeks of spring rain, French-German artist Alexandre Dupeyron navigated the decaying corridors and broken staircases of the abandoned Wumuchong coal mine in Ningxiang, Hunan.

连绵春雨过后，法德裔艺术家亚历山大·迪佩龙穿行在湖南宁乡五亩冲废弃煤矿斑驳破旧的走廊与损毁的楼梯间。

The 43-year-old, in early March for a one-month residency, uses on-site coal and brick fragments—ground, filtered, and turned into pigments with his recipe—for works blending drawing and photography.

这位43岁的艺术家于3月初抵达此处，开展为期一个月的驻留创作。他以矿区就地取材的煤炭和砖瓦碎块为原料，将其研磨、过滤后，用自制配方颜料，用于融合绘画与摄影的艺术作品。

He calls the site “amazing,” noting his art recurring theme: people and nature.
