Picture | Orange Isle, one of important scenic spots in Changsha

The Orange Isle, located in the middle of the Xiangjiang River in downtown Changsha, is one of the many alluvial sandbars in the lower reaches of the river. The island stretches for 6 kilometers in length, and measures 40 meters in width at its narrowest and about 140 meters at its widest. The strip-shaped isle is one of the important scenic spots in Changsha, as well as a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a national-level key scenic area. It is renowned as the "First Sandbar in China."
