Across more than 660 hectares in Uzbekistan’s Andijan Region, fields of Chinese peppers are turning red.
Led by Zou Xuexiao, a team from Hunan Agricultural University in Changsha, China, is introducing heat-tolerant, machine-harvestable varieties and standardized growing methods. A joint Central Asia research lab is also planned, combining local climate advantages with Chinese breeding expertise to grow the region’s pepper industry.
